AARP End of Life Program

Useful information and links to help plan for end of life, including discussion of final wishes, wills and estate planning, hospice, and other topics. See www.aarp.org/families/end_life.

Useful information and checklists on financial and legal actions to take when someone dies, survivors' info on benefits, bereavement. See www.aarp.org/families/grief_loss.

 

Moving On

Activity-oriented social support group for widows or women in divorce. Meets 2nd and 4th Thurs Noon – 1:00pm for lunch, followed by meeting 1:00 – 2:00pm. Social activities are offered, such as trips, dinners, theater, etc.

 

OASOC – Widow’s Support Group....................................... 463-7885

Support group for widows age 55+. Meets 1st and 3rd Tues 11:30am-1:00pm at Ukiah Methodist Church Library, 209 N. Pine St., Ukiah. Facilitated by a Senior Peer Counselor.

 

Redwood Funeral Society (RFS)

Works to protect and defend individual choice for dignified, ethical, and fairly priced death care. Consumer information and education about requirements and options to assist in advanced planning for after-death arrangements. Volunteer speakers available.
