Provides a "check-in" phone call by volunteers Mon, Wed, Fri (except holidays) to Lake County elderly and/or frail individuals who are alone at home. If no answer, a welfare check is done in the following order: phone company, pre-designated neighbor, fire department notified.

Bay Area-based accredited telephone warm line and crisis intervention program for individuals 60+ nationwide (or any adult living with physical or mental health issues). Staff and volunteers are available 24/7 to offer emotional support to callers when they are depressed, isolated, grieving, suicidal, lonely or going through a difficult time. Also, an ongoing service for individuals to receive scheduled calls can be arranged by contacting 415-750-4111. All calls are limited to once a day for 10 minutes and are free of charge.
