Many centers have newsletters and invite membership for a nominal fee, onsite thrift stores, and “loaner” closets with smaller durable medical equipment (such as canes, walkers, commodes, etc.). Some centers have outreach programs to work one-to-one with seniors to help them use and access existing services to retain independence and prevent isolation.
